🎬 Trailer Review: Wake Up Dead Man — Knives Out Goes Full 007 with a Side of Sherlock

📅 Release Dates:

  • Select Theaters: November 26
  • Netflix: December 12

🔍 The Setup
A man named Monsignor Wicks is found murdered inside… a sealed concrete box.
Yes, you heard that right — not a locked room, not a hidden vault. A literal concrete coffin.

Hollywood looked at Agatha Christie and said:
👉 “Cool mystery, but can it be… impossible?”

And boom — we got ourselves a Knives Out sequel.

🕵️ Our Detective Returns
Benoit Blanc is back.
The man with the southern drawl smoother than bourbon, now solving a case so twisted even Scooby-Doo would quit halfway.

Fun fact: Blanc is played by Daniel Craig — aka James Bond, aka the guy who’s jumped off rooftops, fought villains in submarines, and survived five Mission Imposs— wait, wrong franchise… but feels the same.

If Bond had gadgets, Blanc has… sarcasm and an eye for liars.

🎭 The Suspects
As usual, the cast is stacked like a Jenga tower:

  • The grieving family who totally isn’t hiding anything.
  • The shady lawyer.
  • The weird friend.
  • And at least one person who just exists to get slapped in the face.

It’s Clue on steroids, but with Netflix’s budget.

🎥 Trailer Vibes

  • Shadowy mansions.
  • Smug close-ups.
  • Dramatic music that screams “a plot twist is coming.”

You can practically hear Netflix whisper:
👉 “Don’t blink, or you’ll miss the fake clue we put here to mess with you.”

🍿 SaatPro’s Take
The Knives Out series is like comfort food for mystery fans:

  • A weird crime? ✅
  • Too many suspects? ✅
  • A detective who solves it all by talking too much in the final 10 minutes? ✅✅✅

But here, the stakes are higher.
This isn’t “who killed Uncle Rich Guy with a candlestick.”
This is: How do you murder someone locked in solid concrete?

Verdict
Wake Up Dead Man looks smart, stylish, and just the right amount of ridiculous.
Mystery fans will pause every frame to hunt for clues.
Casual viewers will just say: “Hey, that’s James Bond solving puzzles in a funny accent.”

Either way — Netflix wins.

This December, prepare yourself for:

  • One detective.
  • One impossible crime.
  • And at least three shocking twists you’ll never see coming.

Unless you’re Benoit Blanc. Then you probably already solved it.
