So the future has officially arrived… but it’s still wearing training wheels 🛴
On June 22, 2025, Tesla said:
“Enough talking… Let’s send our robotaxis to the streets!” 🚦
South Austin, Texas is now the testing ground for these self-driving wonder-cars. You can book them using an app, and they’ll (mostly) drive you around while a human chaperone watches nervously from the front seat 😅
👀 But wait… who’s watching the watchers?
Well, the internet is.
Multiple videos popped up showing Tesla’s robotaxis:
- Taking wrong turns ❌
- Ignoring signs 🚫
- And, almost becoming the new Fast & Furious crew in slow motion 🐢🔥
Within hours, US safety regulators (NHTSA) said:
“Hi Tesla, we saw your cars doing weird stuff. Can we talk?” 📞😬
🚗 What’s this FSD thing?
Tesla calls it FSD – Full Self-Driving (Supervised).
It’s basically the car saying:
“I can drive… but please keep your hands ready just in case I forget I’m on Earth.” 🛸
The robotaxis are on an unsupervised version of this, but surprise! There’s still a human safety monitor onboard. So, technically it’s not fully unsupervised… more like a teenager on their first solo ride… with mom secretly hiding in the backseat. 😆
🎯 Elon’s Master Plan
Elon Musk said, “We’ll go full robo by end of June!”
So… this soft launch is just the appetizer. The main course is coming — Driverless tacos with AI salsa! 🌮🤖
🌎 What does it mean for the world?
India → “Robotaxi? Bhaiyya meter se chalao please.” 🇮🇳
Europe → “Hmm, ours should come with croissants and sarcasm.” 🥐
China → “Been there, done that.”
Africa → “We’ll take it if it runs on solar.” ☀️🚗
💡 Big Idea Time
Self-driving is no longer science fiction — it’s Instagram story content 📸
But trust is still downloading… at 15% ⏳
So until then, let’s celebrate this weirdly beautiful AI/human hybrid taxi phase 😄
